Getting to know your pet

The first step to longer, happier life. Evaluation Upon veterinary referral, your pet will be evaluated. This will include a thorough examination of your pet which consists of:
  • Gait analysis
  • Weight bearing
  • Muscle mass
  • Range of motion
  • Flexibility
  • Strength
  • Pain or tenderness as appropriate for their condition
Once the evaluation is completed a plan of care will be developed, tailored to your pet’s Needs.

What to expect at your initial evaluation

The evaluation itself will be about 1 hour Dr. Connie Schulte will collect any pertinent information regarding your pets condition from you as you meet. Through a thorough examination of your pet she will observe gait analysis, range of motion, flexibility, and strength testing.

Following these we will take muscle circumference measurements, analyze weight distribution and assess any pain or tenderness as appropriate for your pet’s condition.

After the examination Dr. Connie Schulte will review the problem list and suggested treatment plan with you and set goals for your pets treatment and/or recovery.
